Golfers, Your Hip Flexors Are Killing Your Game

If you work at a desk job or have a relatively sedentary lifestyle, you may have tight hip flexors. This is a problem for golf. It limits your ability to rotate and created speed and power. It also can cause low back pain and/or knee pain.

Some Golf and Health Issues Related to Tight Hip Flexors:

Low back tightness and pain

Poor golf posture and standing posture

Limited pelvic/lower body rotation

Weakness in the core and glutes


One of the quickest ways to generate more distance and consistency in your golf is by improving your hip flexor flexibility. If the front of your hips are flexible, then your glutes can work properly and your hip joint can rotate with fewer restrictions.

Here are a couple of stretches that I've used with my clients to improve their hip flexor flexibility:
