PHASE 1. ELEVATE
The aim of the "elevate" phase is to increase:
β π« Heart Rate
β π©Έ Blood Flow
β π‘ Body Temperature
β π« Respiration Rate
β π¦΅π½ Joint Viscosity
PHASE 2. ACTIVATE
ππΌ Activate key muscle groups
ππΌ Mobilize and improve range of motion in key joints
During this phase of the warm-up, mobilization and activation should include:
πΉ Dynamic Stretching
πΉ Squats
πΉ Lunges
πΉ Spinal Mobility Exercises
πΉ Balance
πΉ Core Stabilization
PHASE 3. POTENTIATE
The aim of this phase is to "prime" your nervous system for the upcoming training session or competition.
There are 2οΈβ£ primary objectives of this phase:
π Increase intensity to the level you are about to undergo during your desired activity.
π² Improve performance utilizing the effects of a neuromuscular phenomenon known as post-activation potentiation.
