What is PAR5PT?

PAR 5 Physical Therapy is not your typical physical therapy clinic.

When I started PAR5PT in 2019, I envisioned a different way to treat clients. I believed that healthcare must get better to answer our clients’ questions, get them better, and help them achieve their goals. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, from acute care hospital-based settings to chiropractor owned out-patient clinics. I’ve been a patient many times and seen what it’s like to be on the receiving end of physical therapy treatment.

I’ve treated 3-5 patients in ONE HOUR. I found that it was difficult to give my complete attention to a patient and help them when I had to split my time with other patients waiting for me. The average doctor spends 8-15 minutes with a patient. That has to change.

Patients are treated like numbers in the modern healthcare system. A client, on the other hand, is a person that collaborates with their healthcare professional to not only get better, but achieve their goals. PAR5PT is geared towards active adults who want to stay healthy and fit throughout life. I treat clients one on one for an hour. It’s not traditional physical therapy. It’s getting people back to doing what they love to do without pain meds, injections, or surgery.

Move better, feel better, and play better.

PAR5PT uses a movement-based approach to treat orthopedic injuries and problems. If you can move better, you can feel better, and then enjoy life better. As a doctor of physical therapy, I specialize in movement. So physical therapy isn’t just something that you need when you’re hurt or after surgery. I can help prevent injury or find out what’s causing your aches and pains.

If you’re an active adult, exercise and watch what you eat, your goal is to remain healthy and fit as you age. Sometimes, you get an ache that you think will go away with time and rest. But as we age, our body’s ability to cope and recovery changes. That ache doesn’t go away and it may change how we move and exercise, creating further problems. Changes in our tissue’s elasticity and mobility affects how we recovery from our daily activities and workouts.

PAR5PT is safe.

During the past couple months, our world has changed and made getting close to another person a risky endeavor. But I’ve made every effort to keep my clients safe. I treat only one person at a time, so the risk is low because I also clean all surfaces before and after each client. I understand that people can be wary of going out to see medical professionals, especially when physical therapy requires such close contact between doctor and client.

When you come to PAR5PT for an appointment, you text or call me from your car to let me know you’re waiting. I will prop open the front door when appropriate to limit common contact points, and your temperature will be taken upon entering the treatment area. Face coverings are required and if you don’t have one, I’ll provide one for you. I wear gloves and glasses for personal protection in addition to a mask.

Infectious disease control and procedures are all designed to protect everyone that enters the PAR5PT clinic. I prioritize my clients’ health and well-being so you can be assured that I do everything to keep you safe.

It’s about life transformation.

I’ve seen pain and injury change lives. Being able to play, bend, or lift is part of experiencing a full life. Being able to move pain-free is key to a happy and healthy life. It’s not just about manual interventions or exercise at PAR5PT, it’s about transforming your life back to what you love to do and daily activities that define you.
